Speech-Language Pathologist

Chrissy is an ASHA-certified and Maryland licensed speech-language pathologist at HASA. Chrissy worked at the Scottish Rite Childhood Speech and Language Center since 1998 before transferring to HASA at the start of 2017. She holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Towson University Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders. Chrissy is certified in the Lidcombe Program and has completed American Sign Language Classes Levels 1-3. Chrissy has been practicing since 2004, providing diagnostic evaluations and treatment of the pediatric population (ages 14 months to 21 years old) in the clinical setting. She manages a caseload of approximately 40 children entailing articulation, expressive/receptive language disorders, phonological awareness, apraxia, fluency, and social language. Chrissy has also established and treated children at the surrounding private schools including: First English Lutheran, Calvert School, Friends School, Cathedral School, and Garrison Forest School.

Chrissy regularly enjoys supervising Speech Pathology students and Clinical Fellow clinicians. Chrissy was a recipient of the John W. Brockman Fellowship award in May 2002. She also held a “Round Table Presentation at the 2012 Rite Care Conference: “The iPad and You” and has gone to surrounding private schools and universities to talk about “When to Refer Your Child For A Speech and Language Screening” as well as presenting the “The iPad and You” to both Towson University and Loyola College graduate students. Chrissy was featured in two articles: “The Rite News of Maryland”- Nov/Dec/Jan 2014/2015 edition and the “The Scottish Rite of Freemasonry”-October 2015 edition. Finally Chrissy was featured in a commercial and a live Podcast for “Celebrating the Craft” to promote the Scottish Rite Clinic.
