Senior Speech-Language Pathologist
Kathi Shute has been a speech language pathologist at the Hearing and Speech Agency since 2006. She is a member of the Center for Fluency Enhancement specializing in working with children, adolescents and adults who stutter. She received her Master’s in Speech-Language Pathology from Galluadet University in Washington, DC and her Bachelor of Science degree in Communication Disorders from Appalachian State University in North Carolina.
Her clinical experience includes assessment and treatment of speech-language disorders for both pediatric and adult clients. She has presented at conferences in the area of fluency/stuttering at the local, state and national level. In addition to her role as a speech-language pathologist, Ms. Shute supervises speech-language pathology graduate students and clinical fellows. Ms. Shute is currently in the process of obtaining her board certification as a fluency specialist.
Ms. Shute is licensed by the State of Maryland and is certified by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
