Donna is a Certified Medical Assistant with the AAMA, and joined HASA in May of 2015 after being in the medical field for over 25 years. Donna's experience in the medical field consisted of work for an ENT practice, Dr.'s Weiss, McCorkle, & Mashburn for 7 years, followed by work for several pediatric groups; most notably Mt. Washington Pediatric Hospital for 10 years. Donna's origins come from the Rose Fire Company in Pennsylvania where she started at the age of 16 before becoming an Emergency Medical Technician with them for 10 years. Donna has a unique perspective working for HASA, being hearing impaired herself. Her work with HASA led her to recently joining the Board for the Hearing Loss Association of America-Greater Baltimore Chapter, where she hopes to continue advocacy and outreach for children and adults who have experienced hearing loss. More personally, Donna's favorite part of her job is seeing all the different kids who come to visit her at the front desk!
