Dr. Ward joined The Hearing and Speech Agency in June 2015. She holds her Doctorate in Audiology, and she earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Communicative Disorders from Towson University.
Her clinical experience includes performing adult and pediatric diagnostic audiologic evaluations, hearing aid evaluations, fittings, and troubleshooting. Dr. Ward’s doctoral research focused on establishing a simple, reliable bedside hearing screening measure for use in the medical field by practitioners who are not trained to diagnose hearing loss. This research highlighted the importance of establishing an adequate method of communication between patient and practitioner, especially if hearing loss is suspected. Dr. Ward previously worked as a school special education teacher. Her experience also includes working as a job coach and job developer for Deaf adults with mental illness. While she was an undergraduate student at West Chester University in PA, she worked for the Center on Hearing and Deafness, a social service agency that serves people with hearing loss.
Dr. Kilcullen Ward is licensed by the State of Maryland, and she is certified by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
