Associate Director of CIRS and Deaf Initiatives

We are currently seeking a high-achieving and self-motivated individual with an entrepreneurial spirit as our new Associate Director of CIRS Interpreting and Deaf Initiatives position. The focus of this position will be the oversight of operations for our CIRS Interpreting and sign language programs, including staffing, budgeting, program development, customer service initiatives, educational programming, outreach, and advocacy. Other duties will include supervision of on-site and community-based ASL classes and Deaf culture/educational programs. This is a dynamic career opportunity for an individual with a creative mindset for developing new business opportunities within the Deaf and hard of hearing communities.

The ideal candidate will posses a master’s degree (MBA or JD preferred) and have 5 - 10 years of interpreter business experience or experience in a related field. English proficiency is required; preference will be given to candidates who are also fluent in ASL. The individual must also have strong interpersonal and customer service skills, with knowledge in contract management and negotiations. Impeccable communication skills, computer literacy, and exceptional organizational skills are a must. Experience with fundraising and grant management is a plus.
