1:1 Instructional Assistant
Gateway School, a program of The Hearing and Speech Agency, is seeking a full-time 1:1 instructional assistant for a student with complex special needs. This position supports the classroom teacher and therapists in the implementation of IEP goals and objectives and assists the student with activities of daily living. Experience with children with special needs is required.
Bachelor's degree in special education, early childhood, speech and hearing science or a related field is preferred.

The full-time position requires strong interpersonal skills and relevant experience with students with special needs. A bachelor’s degree in hearing and speech science, special education, or elementary/early childhood education is preferred.
Hours are 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Interviewing until the position is filled. Please send a cover letter describing your relevant experience and education with a current resume.
High school diploma required; bachelor's degree preferred.
Experience with children ages 2 - 12 in a classroom environment or child care setting.
Skill or special interest in children with disabilities.
Ability to lift 25 pounds.
Ability to pass criminal background check and drug screening.
