Elizabeth Brown honored in Baltimore magazine
Elizabeth Anne Brown has received an award from Baltimore magazine for Excellence in Nursing. She was one of only two school nurses in the Baltimore region to be honored.
The job of a school nurse is always challenging; that job is even more complicated by the medical needs of Gateway's students. This never stops Beth from actively engaging with her colleagues by volunteering to help Gateway's educators and clinicians on field trips, special performances, and recreational activities.
Nurse Beth extends her care in nursing to the entire community, caring for both the children of Gateway School as well as families, community partners, and friends invested in the success of our students. Nurse Beth is a valuable asset to the HASA team, without whom we could not do what we do.
Elizabeth received her award at a ceremony on April 19 at The Belvedere Hotel and will be featured in the May issue of the magazine in their salute to the secret stars of health care. Over nine months Baltimore magazine collected hundreds of nurse nominations; of those, 50 were chosen in 19 nursing specialties as tops in the region. The nurses were celebrated at a dinner reception at the Belvedere Hotel and are featured in Baltimore magazine’s May issue.
