Description
The Hearing and Speech Agency (HASA) is seeking an intern who would apply creativity and diligence to the position. The right candidate will have an opportunity to learn about online management platforms such as HootSuite, Constant Contact, and Raiser’s Edge. This internship will provide an opportunity to join in strategy sessions and planning meetings as part of HASA’s marketing efforts, as well as the opportunity to work with community partners during outreach events and health fairs.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and schedule social media posts (through Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram)
  • Participate in PR/Marketing planning meetings
  • Design and schedule email newsletters 
  • Enter data into donor software
  • Assist with community outreach & health fairs
  • Create content for HASA’s blog
  • Help with content curation and management of digital archives
  • Other responsibilities as needed

Requirements
Applicants should be a junior or senior in an undergraduate program at an accredited university majoring in public relations, marketing, communications, or another related field. Intern should be proficient in social media platforms and Microsoft Office. Adobe Creative Suite experience preferred.

  • Duration: A minimum commitment of 10 weeks, 12 hours/week preferred

Services include hearing tests, the provision of hearing aids, special education, speech-language evaluations and therapy, listening and spoken language services, pre- and post-cochlear implant services, occupational therapy, sign-language interpreting, sign-language classes, Deaf awareness seminars, social work, and parent support groups.
